Holly Haener, Director of Sales and Marketing, said the marketing department is continually seeking to innovate and create an excellent experience for homebuyers. They strive to keep home shoppers engaged and excited, and in turn, prospective buyers spend more time on their website.
According to Holly, CBH Homes has been working on the buy-online functionality since 2019 after they transitioned to building and selling only spec homes. They’d always wanted to have a shopping cart on their website to create an easy process for home buyers. From data from their website, they knew homebuyers were exploring their website all hours of the night. Being able to buy online gave the customers the power to move forward whenever they were ready.
The change made it possible for homebuyers to quickly take action and get in line for a home. CBH has kept the process simple by asking home shoppers to fill out a form, choose their home, and make a virtual or in-person appointment to finalize the process. CBH Homes does require a $100 deposit to assure that someone is serious enough to follow through with the rest of the process.
Holly said that implementing something like buy-online functionality takes time and there are a lot of issues to consider. The organization’s focus on innovation is providing prospective buyers the tools they need to buy when the time is right for them.
