Edgelands by Pahlisch Homes
Project Overview: The homebuilder for Edgelands requested a community branding package that showcased their luxury homes while also highlighting the unique elements of the new home community and the existing branding for Discovery West.
Design Concept: The name "Edgelands" reflects the community's location at the border of urban and rural settings, capturing the essence of this unique blend. With that in mind, we were inspired by the stunning mountain views and towering pine trees and used that imagery reflected in the logo treatment of Edgelands at Discovery West.
Research and Insights:
- Local Environment: Inspiration from the area's natural beauty—towering pine trees and mountain views, this area is sought after for its walkability
- Community Appeal: Emphasis on the area's vibrant, accessible, and inviting environment.
- Planned Interiors: The color palette and styling must be cohesive with planned interiors from their interior design and architecture team.
Design Execution:
- Logo and Branding: Incorporated urban and rural elements with clean lines and natural motifs.
- Color Palette: We focused on using earth tones to reflect the local landscape and the interior selections.
- Typography: We selected a modern yet approachable typeface that would be both functional and readable on signage.
- Visual Elements: Imagery of mountains, pine trees, and community spaces to tie into the look and feel of the community.
Outcome: The logo brand identity created highlights the unique charm of the Westside of Bend, Oregon, blending urban convenience with natural beauty, and attracting residents who value both.
