Another Facebook Ads update? Yep.
Fortunately, this time it is just a change to Facebook Ads Manager and how you build campaigns.
*Important note: This change has not rolled out to every account. You might see the new version or you might still see the previous version.
What has changed?
The names of the Campaign Objectives have changed. The conversion event now requires a “location” of where the conversion will take place.
For most builders, choosing the Conversion Objective will result in the highest level of performance. However, the Conversion Objective is no longer available - so it seems. In the screenshot below, you can see the list of objectives has changed from what we are used to.
To create a Conversion Campaign, first select “Leads.” Then at the Ad Set level, you will select the Location of where the Conversion will take place; choose website. You will then select the conversion you are optimizing for just like you normally would. Depending on the goal of the campaign, this could be “Leads” or a middle or top of funnel event, such as a page view.
That’s it! Again, not a big update - but one that will leave you frustrated looking for the right option to build your campaigns.
